Last updated September 2026
This notice explains how Green Signal Driving School (“we”, “us”) uses the personal information you give us when you enquire about driving lessons. We are the data controller for that information under the UK General Data Protection Regulation (UK GDPR) and the Data Protection Act 2018.
What we collect
When you use our booking form, call or message us, we collect:
- your name, phone number and, if you give it, your email address
- your pick-up postcode and when you’re available
- details about your lessons, such as manual or automatic and your driving experience
- anything else you choose to tell us in your message
How we use it
We use your details only to reply to your enquiry, arrange and deliver your lessons, and keep in touch about them. Our lawful basis is taking steps at your request before entering into a contract with you, and then performing that contract. We never sell your information or use it for unrelated marketing.
Who we share it with
We use a small number of trusted providers to run this website and send email. They process your information on our behalf and only as we instruct. We may also share information where the law requires it.
How long we keep it
If you don’t go on to book lessons, we delete your enquiry within 12 months. If you become a learner, we keep your records for as long as we teach you and for up to 6 years afterwards for accounting and legal reasons.
Cookies
This website doesn’t use advertising or tracking cookies. Your browser may store your booking form progress for the current visit only, so you don’t lose it if you refresh the page.
Your rights
You can ask to see, correct or delete the information we hold about you, object to how we use it, or ask us to restrict it. Email us at greensignaldriving@yahoo.com and we’ll respond within one month.
If you’re unhappy with how we’ve handled your information, you can complain to the Information Commissioner’s Office (ICO) at ico.org.uk or on 0303 123 1113.
